Customizing your News
Flipboard is all about reading the news you want to read and filtering out the rest. Now that you know how to browse and read articles, you're ready to learn about customizing your Flipboard experience.
You can change your Flipboard preferences, such as which news topics you follow, by tapping the red ribbon in the upper right hand corner of the Flipboard home page.
From this preferences screen, you can tap on 'Following' to see all of the topics you're currently following. When you follow a new topic it will appear as a tile on your Flipboard home page.
To add additional topics, tap on 'Topics' and then 'Find More Topics to Follow.'
From this window, tap Search Topics at the top of the screen, and then begin searching for a topic. As you type, suggested topics will appear. To add a topic, just tap on it.
After selecting the topics you would like to follow, tap the back arrow to the right of the search bar. Finally, tap 'Done' at the bottom of the screen.
In Flipboard preferences, you tap to view the topics that are currently on your home page.

If you're interested in receiving news from a specific news source, such as CNN or the Associated Press, tap on the same red ribbon on the top upper right of the Flipboard home page. Then, tap 'News' in the left column of the preferences window.
Swipe up across the right column to browse news sources until you see an outlet you would like to follow, then tap the source.
Tap on the blue 'Follow' button in the upper-left hand corner of the screen to add a tile for this news source to your Flipboard home page. The blue 'Follow' button will be replaced with a checkmark, indicating that you are following that source.
If you'd like to remove news topics or sources go to your Flipboard home page and tap and hold a topic tile until an 'x' icon appears in the top left of the tile. Tap on the 'x' to stop following this topic or source and remove the tile completely from yo

Adjusting the font size
Sometimes it can be difficult to read news articles because of the size of the font. In Flipboard, it's very simple to make the text size of articles larger or smaller.
From the Flipboard home page, tap on the gear icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. This will bring up the Flipboard settings window.
Tap 'Text Size' to choose a size setting.
You can choose from a range of options from 'small' to 'extra large.' Tap to select a size.
Tap the arrow in the upper right of the settings window to return to the Flipboard home page.
The menu to change the text size in Flipboard is accessed when reading an article.
